Role - Team Leader (Children & Families Services)
Location - GCHSCP, Various areas throughout Glasgow covering North East, North West and South localities
Contract Status - Permanent

The Glasgow City Health & Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP) is on a journey to radically change the way in which Social Work delivers support and services.
We are looking to recruit Team Leaders across the City of Glasgow supporting Children and Families. The post holder will manage a team of Social Workers and Social Care Workers offering support and help to children and their families.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of Social Workers and Social Care Workers to support children and families.
* Provide support and help to children and families with a strengths, assets and anti-poverty based approach to ensure safety and wellbeing.
* Chair meetings, including reviews for children in Local Authority care, Child Protection Core Groups and matters related to Child Protection Registration.
* Demonstrate sound knowledge of assessment and care management and work in a person-centred manner embedded in practice.
* Be confident in managing risk and seek innovative ways to promote independence and link people into the local community.
* Collaborate with a wide range of partners and health colleagues to shift the balance of care and promote early intervention and preventative supports.
Qualifications and requirements
* Degree or Diploma in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing or equivalent qualification; able to demonstrate commitment to continuing professional development (CPD).
* Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is essential on taking up appointment. Note that candidates may be required to pay PVG membership or scheme checks.
* Registration to the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is essential. You must either be registered or have applied within 3 months and be registered within 6 months from start date. Local government pay deal currently means SSSC fees may not be required for some staff.
* These roles are exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (as amended).
Interviews are likely to take place week commencing 6th October.
