We are looking to recruit a talented and enthusiastic person to join our highly successful and inclusive Sixth Form College. The successful candidate will be a committed, inspirational and dynamic individual with a passion for training young people to work in the Early Years sector. Early Years is part of our highly successful Faculty of Social Sciences and Care. The curriculum area offers T Level Early Years, Level 2 Childcare and Health and Social Care. The curriculum area is well equipped with a range of specialist equipment and teaching areas. The successful candidate would take responsibility for delivering high quality training to students in placement settings including undertaking training observations of students. The successful candidate would also deliver relevant in college training sessions for T level students. Contract: Permanent, 37 hours per week, Term time only Salary: Sixth Form Colleges Support Staff Pay Scale 21-23 currently £38,897 - £41,019 (pro rata) Actual Salary SCP 21 £33,361 p/a Start Date: Thursday 20th August 2026 Closing Date: Friday 18th April 2026 Interview Date: W/C Monday 20th April 2026 We welcome applications from trained assessors and those with relevant industry experience. Key Responsibilities Deliver high quality training of early years skills. Lead planning for observations and undertake observations of Early Years students in placement. Structuring observations of students during a year so that the focus synchronises with skills taught and developed in class. Diarising all observations of all Early Years students ensuring all skills criteria have been observed and feedback provided. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Relevant Assessor qualification Recent industry experience/and orf assessing early years practice in setting Education to Level 3 Effective organiser and thorough administrator, working to deadlines Workplace Benefits Values-driven culture - we’re really proud of our culture.
