Job Summary
An exciting opportunity for two Fixed Term (6 months) Part Time (26.25 hours) positions has arisen to work as part of the audiology team providing routine assessment of adults and school-age children referred to the Audiology department at Walsall Manor Hospital.
This includes patients referred directly via their G.P. or attending ENT outpatient clinics. The role involves fitting hearing aids and supporting patients in their rehabilitation. The post holder will provide services within the hospital, at outreach clinics, and in patients' homes when required.
Main duties of the job
* Undertake routine clinical caseloads in Adult Audiology without supervision, at Walsall Manor Hospital and outreach clinics.
* Provide Audiology cover for ENT clinics, including hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings, reviews, and repairs.

Job Responsibilities
* Perform routine hearing assessments independently on adults.
* Manage all aspects of adult hearing aid provision, including assessment, fitting, verification, repair, and counselling.
* Handle GP referrals for hearing aids and coordinate with primary care professionals.
* Maintain accurate patient records and ensure stock control of hearing aids.
Qualifications
* Essential: BSc Audiology or equivalent, AHCS/HCPC Registration.
* Desirable: Membership of BSA and/or BAA.
Key Competencies & Skills
* Knowledge of audiological test procedures.
* Excellent interpersonal and IT skills.
* Counselling skills (desirable).
Experience & Flexibility
* Up-to-date CPD portfolio and NHS clinical experience.
* Experience with BSA protocols, use of AuditBase system (desirable).
* Willingness to travel to outreach clinics, care homes, and patients’ homes.
Other Requirements
* Full driving license and use of a car.
