HireGiant are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 Driveron behalf of our well-established client based in Dudley. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure long-term, ongoing work with a respected steel distribution company delivering across the West Midlands.
As a Class 1 Driver, your main duties will include:
* Delivering steel and metal materials to local and regional customers
* Securing loads safely using chains, straps, and ratchets
* Completing all paperwork and PODs accurately
* Maintaining high safety standards and vehicle checks before departure
This is a hands-on role suited for professional drivers who are confident working with flatbeds and load security.
Hours & Pay:
* Monday to Friday no weekend work required
* Start times: 06:00am
* 1012 hour shifts per day
* £16.90 per hour (PAYE), £18 per hour (LTD) weekly pay, every Friday
Requirements:
* Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
* Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
* Minimum 1 year Class 1 driving experience
* Previous experience securing loads on flatbed trailers
* Safety boots and high-vis vest required
* Good communication skills and a professional attitude
