We are part of Suffolk Primary Care, a group of 7 GP practices delivering care across Suffolk. We are seeking a Practice Nurse to join our team at Debenham Group Practice, covering Debenham, Otley, and Grundisburgh Surgeries. We pride ourselves on outstanding patient care, excellent access, and supportive systems.
The vacancy is for 20-25 hours per week, negotiable for the right candidate, with flexibility for training, holidays, and sickness.
We use SystmOne and askmyGP to facilitate effective working.
You will work in an organization focused on staff development and delivering high-quality care.
The interview panel will consist of at least two people. Shortlisting is on 1st August, with interviews on 7th August.
Main duties of the job
Job Summary
Provide nursing services including assessment, advice, screening, and treatment within your competence. Additional training will be provided. Work in accordance with NMC Code of Conduct.
Key Responsibilities
Provide care directly to patients without referral, undertake general nursing duties such as immunisations, cervical smears, contraception advice, diabetes management (preferably with Warwick diploma or similar), treatment room duties, and chronic disease management, especially respiratory conditions with a diploma in asthma/COPD. Follow practice protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications
* Current NMC registration with an active PIN
* Experience in treatment room consultation, phlebotomy, ECG, screening, long-term condition management, cervical cytology, vaccinations, minor surgery, dressing, and wound care
* Compassionate, empathetic, and kind approach
* Respect for patient dignity and colleagues
