Overview
Mechanical Fitter — Beeston, Leeds, West Yorkshire. £38,000 base salary + paid overtime + additional allowances. 4-Day Week – Monday to Thursday (37hrs).
If you’re a Mechanical Fitter who takes pride in proper engineering - not just bolting parts together - this one’s for you. You’ll be joining a well-established British engineering business built on traditional craftsmanship, precision, and reliability. Here, you’ll be building complex, bespoke machines from the ground up - equipment that relies on precision fits, fine adjustments, correct clearances, and proper lubrication. You’ll get the satisfaction of seeing a machine come to life - something few fitters get to experience these days.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Building complete bespoke machinery - not just sub-assemblies
* Working with shafts, bearings, gears, linkages, pneumatics, and precision components
* Reading and interpreting detailed mechanical drawings and specifications
* Inspecting, testing, and verifying components during the build process
* Taking pride in producing machinery built to last
What You’ll Bring

* Strong understanding of mechanical principles, fits, and tolerances
* Ability to read, interpret, and build from detailed engineering drawings
