Job Title: Academy Coordinator Reporting to: Head of Academy Work closely with: Head of Academy, Academy team (tutors, assistants), Duty Managers, Venue Manager Purpose of Role: The Academy Coordinator will be a vital member of the company, supporting the company
members in the operations and running of the Academy, communicating with parents, young people and tutors; as well as working on other Academy projects.
Key Responsibilities: • Manage the membership@ email inbox • Update on a weekly basis the UPSHOT reporting system • Supervise the Session reports on a daily basis • Pastoral care for students • Communicate with parents information regarding the Academy • Support the Academy with the end of year showcases and any other projects related to the
department • At all times carry out duties and responsibilities with professionalism.
RESPONSIBILITIES: • Support with the TP exams, half-term and holiday projects • When required, cover for other tutors or assistants in class • Share information by email / verbally / letters with the team (tutors, assistants, volunteers, Theatre
Peckham Duty Managers) • Attend meetings and training as requested by the company • Hand out letters to parents • Support with selection of Jack Petchey Winners and reporting back to Head of Academy • Be in charge of Class4kids: setting up new terms, camps, keeping an eye on registers • Work closely with the Head of Academy to ensure financial targets are meet • Support the Academy with Marketing information to promote the Academy and their programmes • Ensure the Academy stock is kept updated and purchases are made in a timely manner • Call parents to check in on them when absence of student is not justified • Support the Academy with the term 1 sharing • Play an active part in the end of year showcase • Proactively being able to work between the office space and the front desk (during the academy
classes) • Before finishing the shift check all classes are running smoothly
GENERAL: • Advocate for Theatre Peckham’s reputation and activities both within Theatre Peckham and in the
wider arts community. • Undertake administrative responsibilities associated with the fulfilment of the role. • Undertake other duties as may be required; for example, all company members may occasionally
be required to work on the reception desk.

Terms: This is a part-time position at 30 hours per week (excluding unpaid breaks).

Normal working hours for this role are outlined below:
TERM TIME SCHEDULE
Monday to Friday 1PM – 7PM (including a 1 hour unpaid break per day)
Saturday 8.30AM – 2PM (including a 30min break to be taken between 11.15am – 11.45am)
HALF-TERM AND HOLIDAY BREAKS SCHEDULE
Monday to Friday 10AM – 5PM (including a 1 hour unpaid break per day)
Salary: £13.85 per hour
The annual paid holiday entitlement is 140 hours per annum, (pro rate for a part-time role) plus bank holidays.
The successful candidate will be expected to apply for an enhanced DBS check or hold a valid DBS certificate granted in the past 6 months.

SHORTLISTING Shortlisting will take place as soon as possible after the closing date and is always carried out by at least two people. We aim to let everyone know within two weeks of the closing deadline whether they have been shortlisted for an interview.
