Working Schedule: 37 hours per week. University days are normally a Friday, where you would either attend University in person or virtually. Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu are the Thales working days where you will be on site at Thales in Glasgow or working from home where suitable.

Responsibilities:
* Work with the Engineering and Industry teams to design Software Solutions for our Engineering Systems and Hardware.
* Collaborate with other teams in the business to deliver effective software systems.
* Support embedded systems, testing coding on real‑time cutting‑edge hardware.
* Assist in practical application of university learning in a real‑life engineering environment.
Apprentice Programme:
* Studying at the University of Strathclyde towards a BSc in Software Development.
* Four‑year programme combining university studies with practical application in our Software function in Glasgow.
* One day per week focused on studies; four days at work applying learning.
* Attend classes on campus for 10 days annually, once a month during term‑time.
* Upon completion, move into a permanent role within Thales in Glasgow.
Requirements:
* 4 Highers (BBBB) including either Maths, Computing Science or Physics
* National 5 English at grade C or above

Assessment centres for shortlisted candidates will be held between February – May 2026. Induction week for all Graduates and Apprentices will take place from Monday 7 September – Friday 11 September 2026.
All successful candidates must possess the permanent right to work in the UK, and will be required to go through Government security clearance at BPSS Level and to obtain full Security Clearance (SC) in line with the United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) requirements, prior to starting with us.
