Working in a care home accommodating people living with Dementia, Sensory Impairments and/or Physical Limitations. Motivating people to enjoy recreational pursuits of their choosing during the day. Working with groups or providing support on a one-to-one basis. Working alongside another person overseeing activities, games and providing companionship and company. Enabling people to maintain contact with family and friends through support with letter writing, use of social media or phone calls. Reading and talking to service users. Assisting with trips out in the community and liaising with families at service users request. Arranging events and fundraising. Applicants must be kind, compassionate and at all times observe dignity, respect and give choice. In house accredited training will be mandatory in various areas and will be arranged and funded for successful applicants. Enhanced DBS disclosure required; successful applicants will be required to attend to submit an application. Hours can be structured around school times.
