The Role: What Youll Be Doing
As a key member of our teaching staff, you will be responsible for designing and delivering a curriculum that is both challenging and accessible to all students. Your primary duties will include:
* Curriculum Design and Delivery: Planning and executing creative, differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
* Student Assessment: Continuously assessing and monitoring student progress, providing clear feedback, and adapting your teaching strategies to ensure every student reaches their full potential.
* Positive Behavior Management: Fostering a supportive and structured classroom environment, using positive strategies to manage behavior and promote emotional well:being.
* Collaborative Planning: Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other specialists to develop and implement holistic support plans (EHCPs) for students.
* Building Relationships: Communicating effectively with parents and guardians to build strong partnerships that support student learning both at school and at home.
The Ideal Candidate: Who Were Looking For
We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Teacher with a genuine passion for SEN education. The ideal candidate will have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): This is an essential requirement.
* SEN Experience: Significant experience working with children with a variety of special educational needs, such as autism, learning difficulties, or SEMH.
* Strong Communication Skills: The ability to communicate clearly and build trusting relationships with students, staff, and families.
* A Proactive and Resilient Mindset: A positive attitude, a willingness to adapt, and a talent for celebrating every milestone.
* Knowledge of the UK curriculum and the ability to modify it effectively for students with special needs.
