About the role
The Data Platform team builds and maintains our self-serve data platform for our international divisions. We adopt a business domain-oriented approach to organizing our data engineering and data products, covering broad domains such as Retail, Pharmacy, Healthcare, Marketing, Product, Merchandising, and Opticians.
As a Lead Release Train Engineer, reporting to the Data Platform Director, you will line manage Business Data Analysts, Release Train Engineers, and Scrum Masters. Your responsibilities include leading the strategy and operating model for the release train process, ensuring efficient delivery of high-quality data products. You will coordinate multiple agile teams, fostering continuous improvement and collaboration, and establishing best practices.
What you'll need to have
* Experience leading the release train process and coordinating with multiple agile teams.
* Expertise in Agile and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodologies.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Experience mentoring and coaching team members, promoting a learning culture.
* Experience in line management or team leadership.
Desirable skills and experience
* Experience working in a data environment.
* SAFe Practice Consultant certification.
* Experience in project delivery and commercial awareness.
* Experience leading Business Analysts or working as a Business Analyst.
