Conference and Banqueting Manager

At Hunton Park Hotel

What will I be doing as a Conference and Banqueting Manager?

To take responsibility for the Conference department within the venue, to ensure the Department delivers a high quality service to the customers, maximising on all sales opportunities and controlling costs and payroll as per budget in order to exceed expectations. By providing leadership and direction, you will ensure delivery of great customer service at best possible cost within brand guidelines and satisfying legal requirements. As a senior manager within the overall Food and Beverage departments to assist and manage the delivery of standards and service throughout all the food and beverage outlets.

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

* Manage Conference and Banqueting Outlet operations
* Set and Maintain exceptional levels of customer service
* Ensure compliance of operational service standards
* Recruit, manage, train and develop the team
* Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
* Set departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets, and policies and procedures
* Evaluate guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement
* Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
* Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation

What are we looking for?

You have a proven track record within a high volume conference and events based business, operating to 4 star standards.

This role requires and exceptionally hands on, motivational manager- who will work side by side with their team, ensuring standards and service are delivered consistently, with ongoing coaching and development of a young, passionate team.

You will be working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

* Management and/or supervisory conference and banqueting experience
* Able to meet financial targets
* Ability to comply with all Conference and Banqueting service standards
* Ability to work under pressure
* Willingness to develop team members
* Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
* Ability to work on your own or in teams
* Confident, pleasant and an articulate communicator; able to stay calm under pressure and remain courteous when dealing with difficult situations.
* Must be efficient, organised and self motivated.
* Have a good personal standard projecting a professional image at all times.
* Duty Management shifts

Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will be able to demonstrate strong leadership and guidance to your Supervisors and operational team members while providing an excellent standard of hospitality to all of our guests.
