We're looking for a proactive, organised and people‑focused HR Lead & Patient Administrator to join our Cheshire Oaks team. This is a unique hybrid role - perfect for someone who thrives in a varied position and wants to contribute both to excellent patient care and high‑quality HR operations.
What You'll Be Doing
HR (Est. 60% of the role)
You'll take the lead on day‑to‑day HR administration for the site, including:
* Coordinating recruitment campaigns and managing the full pre-employment checking process
* Maintaining accurate HR records in BambooHR
* Supporting payroll administration (starters, leavers, changes, benefits, and more)
* Managing induction, training coordination and compliance checks
* Providing first-line HR advice and supporting managers with employee relations processes
* Ensuring all mandatory training, clinical checks and employment standards are up-to-date
Patient Administration (Est. 40% of the role)
You'll play a key role in ensuring our clinics run smoothly by:
* Managing clinic schedules, diaries and rota coordination
* Booking appointments accurately and efficiently
* Being a central point of contact for patient queries
* Supporting clinicians and internal teams with daily clinic operations
* Ensuring patient records are kept accurate and up-to-date
* Monitoring activity, waiting times and RTT targets
* Handling cancellations, rebooking and operational changes
This is a full‑time role, 40 hours per week, worked over 5 days.
Core working days are Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday working depending on service need.
Hours are typically worked between 8:00am and 5:30pm, with some flexibility available to support operational requirements and work–life balance.
What We're Looking For
Essential experience
* Strong HR administration background with experience in recruitment, pre‑employment checks, and using HR systems.
* Excellent administrative, organisational and customer service skills, with the ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment while remaining professional, confidential and calm under pressure.
* Experience maintaining accurate employee or patient records, with a high level of attention to detail and data accuracy.
* Confident in managing multiple tasks such as scheduling, diary management, and coordinating activity across teams.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to handle routine queries, resolve issues, and build effective relationships with colleagues, clinicians and patients.
Desirable experience
* Experience working in a regulated environment (NHS experience particularly advantageous).
* Prior use of BambooHR or similar HR information systems.
* Knowledge of payroll administration processes, including starters, leavers and contractual changes.
* Understanding of governance, compliance or regulatory frameworks (e.g., CQC standards, KLOEs, employment checks).
* Experience providing first‑line HR advice or supporting employee relations (e.g., absence, performance, disciplinary, or grievance processes).
Qualifications
* Minimum CIPD Level 3 (or equivalent experience)
* Educated to A‑level standard (or equivalent)
* GCSE Maths & English
* Confident user of Microsoft Office
