Key Tasks and Responsibilities
* Be fully conversant with the facilities, services, and special promotions offered by the hotel and pass this information to guests to maximize hotel sales.
* Maintain awareness of hotel availability and seize opportunities to maximize room sales.
* Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly to requests, and deliver a high level of service that generates compliments.
* Ensure all charges are correctly posted to guest bills following standard procedures.
* Handle cash, cheque, and credit transactions in accordance with hotel and company policies, reporting discrepancies immediately.
* Pass on all messages received for guests accurately and promptly.
* Maintain effective communication procedures daily to uphold service standards.
* Develop positive communication between the Guest Services team and other departments such as Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Reservations.
* Have a good knowledge of the local area, including points of interest and events, and know where to obtain further information.
* Develop interactive customer relations and relay future requirements to management for enhancing customer expectations.
* Handle personal data and credit card information in compliance with GDPR and PCI rules.
