TheOpportunity:
Reporting to the SiteCharacterisation Business Unit Director the USV Manager will beresponsible for the safe and successful development and delivery ofprojects using USV solutions and to ensure the highest quality dataand commercial performance during thoseprojects.
MainResponsibilities
* Workingclosely with other Stakeholders the USV Manager will driveinnovation and development of Offshore and Nearshore USV solutionsidentifying and incorporating industry game changing technologiesthat drives efficiency and differentiation for Rovco through ourextensive inhouse machine learning and data solutionsteams.
* Ensure the company is kept fully briefedand up to date with all USV staff training needs and also to ensurethat all regulatory and licensing aspect are adheredto.
* Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all thingsUSV and Geophysical Survey and can be called upon to providetechnical support and solutions creation to complex tenders andclient opportunities.
* Implementation ofOffshore technology enabled USV solutions that drive added value toboth Rovco and our customers.
* Successfuldelivery of projects that significantly improves offshoreproductivity by use of our USV fleet and therefore increaseprofitability.
* Build and maintain collaborativerelationships across the organisation.
* Meetstrategic goals and pave the way for a transition to fully remoteand autonomous solutions.
* Ensure compliancewith relevant regulations standards and industry best practice inUSV operations.
* Implement and maintain a robustsafety management system for USVoperations.
* Support the recruitment of USVOperators and Engineers to meet operational project needs andbusiness growth.
* Assist in the development ofRovcos Remote Operations Centre and support in the design and rollout of the next generation USVs.
* SupportBusiness Development and Tendering Teams with USV technology andmethodology.
* Attend conferences and seminarsrelated to the subject matter to provide insight and stay ahead ofindustryneeds.
Youshould apply if youhave:
* Proven trackrecord of significant experience in USV operations preferablywithin the Offshore Renewables / EnergyIndustry.
* Sound understanding of legislativeand regulatory aspect of maritime operation of remote andautonomous craft.
* Demonstrated commitment tobuilding and maintaining a strong safetyculture across alloperations.
* Background in Hydrographic Surveyand Geophysical technology is an advantage including technicalknowledge of both towed andhull mountedsensors.
* Strong working knowledge andexperience of marine / vessel operations.
* Theability to stay current with emerging technology trends and theirrelevance to the business product and service offering and byextension the way we manage projects.
* Degreelevel qualification in Surveying Geophysics or related disciplinean advantage; experience and background will carry moreimportance.
* Experience and knowledge of marinesatellitecommunications.
