Overview
Our client is a well‑respected and long‑established distributor of construction supplies / building materials. The Newquay branch requires a new Branch Manager to keep it running in the right direction. The role demands an all‑rounder with strong stock management and buying experience, as well as a clear understanding of how a well‑run branch should function.
Responsibilities
* Lead the branch team in sales and operational activities
* Manage inventory and purchasing to maintain optimal stock levels
* Drive sales growth while ensuring operational efficiency
* Actively support the team in day‑to‑day tasks in a fast‑paced environment
* Monitor long‑term progression and report on performance to senior management
Qualifications
* Proven experience in both sales and operations within the builders merchants or construction supply sector
* Strong management or supervisory background with a track record of success
* Excellent communication skills and ability to lead by example
* Hands‑on, proactive attitude – not a back‑office desk‑bound role
* Strong operational skills combined with a sales‑driven mindset
