Job Description:

Reed is partnering with a leading UK energy company. This is an opportunity to join an engineering team as a Staff or Senior Staff Engineer, supporting pipeline and terminal operations across the Southwest.
This is a senior role reporting directly to the Logistics Engineering Manager, focusing on asset integrity, regulatory compliance, and engineering excellence.
* Location: South/West Wales
* Salary: £70,000 - £80,000
Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain inspection programs for pipelines and above-ground storage tanks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
* Manage routine inspection programs, develop repair strategies for defects, and set re-inspection periods using RBI (Risk-Based Inspection) systems.
* Conduct system design reviews to ensure compliance with legislation and industry standards.
* Lead maintenance and capital projects related to the UK & Ireland fuel storage business.
* Coordinate and communicate changes to the asset integrity program.
* Act as SME for asset integrity with industry regulators.
* Perform technical assessments, develop defect acceptance criteria, and repair procedures.
* Develop risk management programs and support the design, installation, and startup of capital projects.
* Track costs and report on project status.
* Supervise personnel and contractors as needed.
* Ensure standards and procedures reflect legislative changes and industry standards.
Qualifications:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (BEng Hons minimum).
* Professional registration such as IMechE Chartered Engineer.
* At least 8 years of engineering experience in Terminal/Refinery environments.
* Experience overseeing system repairs and upgrades.
* Familiarity with risk-based inspection, ILI tools, and inspection data management.
