This is a regional, vitally important role to maintaining and continuously improving Bristow Group’s compliance across the multi discipline areas of aviation regulation, health, safety and environmental performance.
This role will be responsible for implementing and monitoring policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements and support the Bristow Target Zero goals of no harm to people or the environment.
The role requires high motivation, safety consciousness with an ability to work effectively within the disciplined regional team, with competence to make decisions from own initiative. Experienced in compliance within aviation, good communicator, considerate of global cultures to compliance, complimenting regional and specific issues and expected to travel within the region.
Areas of responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:
Implementing and supporting a programme of monitoring and auditing (Aviation Management Systems) to provide a high level of safety and compliance assurance:
1. Monitoring and enhancing the aviation management system (MS).
2. Ensure appropriate actions are undertaken for identifying, reporting and correcting safety issues and for the initiation and monitoring of preventive action measures to support continuous safety improvement.
3. Reviewing and reporting on compliance with MS policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, ensuring safety issues are reported to the Nominated Persons and Accountable Manager(s) in a timely manner.
4. Manage the AOC event investigation process and conduct Safety Investigations when required.
5. Facilitating the Safety Review Board and the Nominated Person Safety Action Groups (SAGs).
6. Promote a Just Culture at all times.
7. Provide detailed reports and analysis of identified or reported safety issues or trends as required for the Nominated Persons Safety Action Groups and Accountable Manager(s)
8. Management of the Safety reports assessing for trends, Elevated Events and mandatory occurrence reports (MORs).
9. Oversight of HFDM programme to enhance safety.
10. Monitor and report on safety targets for all areas of operation and ensure that appropriate safety performance improvement plans are being implemented across the AOC.
11. Support the on-going review of the management system to evaluate its effectiveness and ensuring that improvements are made where required.
12. Implement and overseeing compliance monitoring with all relevant regulation, requirements, policies and procedures for UK National AOC.
13. Determining the effectiveness of the company’s compliance management system in achieving the declared business quality objectives
14. Identification of risk and risk ownership through internal auditing.
15. Verify follow-up actions for effectiveness of implemented improvements. Serve as the focal point for Compliance related issues and the dissemination of information with associated feedback and tracking.
16. Oversee the EMS (Environmental Management System) for the UK National AOC.
17. Provide compliance oversight of contracted and sub contracted suppliers. Provide assistance to other AOCs for AD Hoc Compliance and Auditing requirements.
18. Plan and control the audit cycle within the UK National AOC to meet regulatory and client requirements and meet UK National AOC KPIs.
19. The formulation and control of compliance alert circulars
20. The preparation of information for the quarterly SAGs for duty holders in ground, air and engineering (Pt 145, Pt CAMO and Pt 21J) disciplines.
21. Oversee the collection, analysis and reporting of trends reported through Audit findings, audit observations, Behaviour reports, Injury Reports, Air Safety Reports, Ground Safety Reports Maintenance Safety Reports and shared information from other regions and industry.
22. Management of the compliance risk picture through analysis of data, audit findings and observations, including management walk rounds to develop a performance/risk auditing program.
23. Provide actionable information on Compliance matters to the Accountable Manager(s) and leadership at all levels.
24. Ensure strong liaison with Customers, regional and national regulatory bodies relating to compliance.
25. Provide assistance to the UK Energy AOC/Bid Teams/Business Development to provide accurate and timely data and information about compliance performance in support of contract bids, client reviews and QPRs
26. Oversee the UK National AOC input into the emission trading system.
27. Ensure the provision of high-quality training in auditing skills, investigation, data analysis for safety leadership and frontline employees.
28. Providing support and leadership, by example, to UK National AOCs personnel and their managers.
29. Oversee the Emergency Response planning to ensure the highest standards of preparedness within the UK National AOC.
30. UK National AOC focal point for ISO accreditations.
31. Provide cover for the UK Energy Services Safety and Compliance Manager.
Technical requirements:
32. Must be acceptable to the CAA/EASA to hold CAA/EASA Form 4
33. Minimum 5 years of experience in Compliance within the aviation sector or other complex industry
34. Detailed knowledge/understanding of ISO, CAA and EASA regulations.
35. Proven experience in one or more of the following aviation areas:aircraft engineeringflight operationsground operationsverification

38. 3 or more years of supervisory experience or leadership role with a willingness to develop skills further

Qualifications:
42. desirable - recognized academic qualification undergraduate level or equivalent Safety Management Systems (SMS) Principles and Practices
or
43. understanding of the Quality Management System preferably with CQI/IRCA certification.
44. Training in CAA/EASA regulation in air operations and continued airworthiness
45. Lead Auditor qualification for ISO 9001:2015
46. Incident/Accident investigation training and experience
