A Fixed Assets Accountant is required to work within our clients Accounting & Finance department based in Manchester City Centre. Description The key responsibilities for a Fixed Asset Accountant will include: Manage and maintain the company's fixed assets register Prepare monthly depreciation schedules and journal entries Contribute to the preparation of month-end accounts and financial statements Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities Liaise with external auditors as required Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc projects Ensure financial compliance with company policies and relevant regulations Provide analysis and insights to management regarding fixed assets Profile A successful Fixed Assets Accountant should have: A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance or similar Strong Financial Accounting experience managing and reporting on Fixed Assets Qualified by experience or part-qualified Proficiency in accounting software ideally Oracle or SAP and strong MS excel skills Experience working in a large business ideally in a SSC Strong understanding of fixed assets accounting principles and practices Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail Good communication skills, both written and verbal Job Offer A salary between £38,000 - £45,000 per annum Full time office based working until passed probation then hybrid working Study support Generous annual leave entitlement Generous pension scheme Opportunity to work at a global organisation who offer genuine career and development opportunities
