TO START AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
As a result of Trust expansion, this newly created role will support the Director of Governance & Compliance to ensure effective operation and compliance of the Governance structure within All Saints Catholic Academy Trust (ASCAT). The post will focus on co-ordinating local governance including line management of local Clerks, ensuring robust governance processes and compliance controls across the ASCAT portfolio - currently 14 schools and a central office within South West Hertfordshire.
The Governance Manager will help ensure that best practice is implemented, enabling the MAT to meet its statutory obligations, uphold its Catholic ethos, and foster a culture of transparency and accountability.
The ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate strong organisational skills and is adept at managing multiple stakeholders. A high level of accuracy is a must, and the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate an ability to maintain records, draft and update reports, and take accurate minutes. As this post involves day to day supervision of a number of Clerks, an adaptable, approachable personality is key, with previous line management experience an advantage.
Previous governance experience in the public or education sector would be ideal, however, applications with relevant transferable skills gained in other industries will be warmly received. ASCAT is committed to the development of its employees, and full training will be offered.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of a growing Multi Academy Trust, bringing new ideas, embedding best practice, and shaping processes for the future. If you’re pragmatic, adaptable, and motivated by achieving results for our schools, pupils and staff, we’d love to hear from you.
