Location: Lipscomb Volvo Canterbury
Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 per annum + Bonus + benefits
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm (plus Saturday morning rota)

About the Role

Lipscomb Volvo Canterbury, a well-established Volvo main dealership located just outside Canterbury city centre on the A28 in Chartham, is seeking an experienced Parts Supervisor to join and support our successful Parts Department.

This is a rare opportunity to take a leading role within one of the few family-owned dealer groups, working from our modern and well-equipped Canterbury Volvo facility. This newly available position has not previously been advertised, offering the chance to step into a key role and make a real impact.

We are looking for a driven, commercially minded individual to take ownership of the department’s day-to-day performance, supporting the team while helping to drive efficiency, growth, and exceptional customer service. Whether you are an experienced Parts Supervisor or a Parts Advisor ready to take the next step, we would love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Supervising the day-to-day operations of the Parts Department
2. Supporting and guiding team members to achieve performance and service targets
3. Maintaining strong communication with internal departments and external customers
4. Overseeing Vehicle Health Check processes, trade enquiries, orders, and pricing requests
5. Ensuring accurate identification, pre-picking, and supply of vehicle parts
6. Managing goods-in procedures, including checking and booking parts
7. Handling escalated customer and supplier enquiries
8. Monitoring stock control, organisation, and departmental standards

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

9. Previous experience in a motor parts environment
10. Strong knowledge of parts identification and interpretation
11. Proven ability to support or supervise a team
12. Excellent communication and customer service skills
13. High attention to detail and organisational skills
14. A proactive, team-focused approach with the ability to work to set processes

Desirable:

15. Experience within a franchised car dealership environment
16. Previous supervisory or team leader experience
