Are you passionate about making a difference in people's lives? We are looking for dedicated people to join our team as Patient Experience Volunteer. Your role will be vital in enhancing the wellbeing of our patients, providing them with the support and care they need.
The role involves interacting with patients across the Trust who can feel lonely, isolated or bored. You will spend time talking with patients or supporting with activities.

Please note that we are expecting a high interest in our volunteer positions, and therefore we will be reviewing applications and prioritise applicants from the Tameside & Glossop area. We will consider applications from out of the area by exception. We may close the vacancy earlier than the date advertised, on receipt of sufficient applications.

The Role
As a volunteer with our Patient Experience Team, you will provide invaluable company and support to patients on our wards. Your responsibilities will include:
* Offering companionship and engaging in conversations with patients to alleviate loneliness.
* Assisting patients with simple tasks to enhance their comfort and well-being.
* Helping to prevent falls by ensuring a safe environment and supporting patients with mobility.
* Collaborating with healthcare staff to identify and address patient needs.
Training Provided

* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patient safety and fall prevention techniques.
* Basic patient care and support.

Shift Details
Volunteers are required to commit to a minimum of 4 hours per shift, Monday to Friday. This ensures that our patients receive consistent and reliable support throughout the week.
