Horizons Residential Care Limited is a well-established residential childcare provider based in the East Coast of Scotland and has been providing therapeutic residential childcare service since 2013. We won the Best Social Care Provider award in 2019, the Best Care Home Award in Scotland in 2021 and also won the Best Care Home Group in the UK in 2022 and 2023.

Horizons provide, as a standard, a staffing ratio of 1:1 (10am - 10pm) with passionate, competent, and confident team members to support our young people with complex and sometimes challenging behaviours. Our young people may present with a range of social, emotional and physical needs. Therefore, the specialised and therapeutic care we provide requires to be person centred.

Job position: Registered House Manager
Annual Salary range - £36,500- £48,000 approx. (Plus Discretionary Annual Performance Bonus)
Placement on the pay scale depends on Experience and Qualifications as required by SSSC

As a Registered House Manager, you will hold responsibility for the overall management and operation of the residential care home, ensuring that the highest standards of care, safety, and support are provided to the children and young people in your care. Your role is pivotal in leading the team and ensuring that all policies, procedures, and regulations are consistently followed.

Education, Qualification and Experience
* SVQ 4/SCQF Level 9 - Children and Young People and CSLM or equivalent qualifications which meet SSSC requirements.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience at a management level and 5+ years residential childcare experience.
* Experience and evidence of undertaking a supervisory role in relation to staff within the Children Residential Care environment.
Full clean UK Driving License is essential.
Normal Working Hours: Monday to Friday with some flexibility to provide evening and weekends cover to suit the needs of the service.
