To provide high-quality plumbing services across the university estate, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all water systems. The role also includes multi-trade responsibilities to support general maintenance and repair tasks, contributing to the upkeep of a safe and functional learning environment.\n\nPlumbing Duties:\n\nInstall, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, heating systems, and sanitary fixtures.\nRespond to reactive maintenance requests and carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).\nDiagnose faults and carry out repairs in accordance with relevant regulations and university standards.\nEnsure compliance with water hygiene and legionella control procedures.Multi-Trade Duties:\n\nCarry out basic tasks in other trades, such as carpentry, tiling, plastering, and minor electrical work.\nAssist with general building maintenance and refurbishment projects.\nSupport emergency response and out-of-hours maintenance when required.\nEssential experience:\n\nNVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Plumbing experience.\nProven experience in plumbing maintenance and installation.\nBasic competency in other trades (e.g., carpentry, tiling, plastering).\nStrong understanding of health and safety practices.\nGood communication and teamwork skills.\nAbility to work independently and manage workload effectively.\nMust hold a full UK driving licence\n\nWhat you need to do now \nIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.\nIf this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.\n\nHays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
