We are looking for staff who are committed to developing children's learning skills, who are enthusiastic, motivated and enjoy working with children to join our existing team. This is an important post within our school and the successful candidate will: be able to encourage and develop safe, purposeful and creative play during he lunchtime break which supports the aims and values of the school and enriches the pupils' learning. Be able to work as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of lunchtime in the dining hall. Have patience to work with young children. Be committed to safeguarding our pupils at all times. All Posts involving direct contact with Children are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. However, amendments to the Exceptions order 1975 (2013 & 2020) provide that certain spent convictions and cautions are 'protected'. These are not subject to disclosure to employers and cannot be taken into account. Guidance and criteria on the filtering of these cautions and convictions can be found on the Ministry of Justice website or see here. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide details of all unspent convictions and those that would not be filtered, prior to the date of the interview. You may be asked for further information about your criminal history during the recruitment process. If your application is successful, this self-disclosure information will be checked against information from the Disclosure and Barring Service before your appointment is confirmed. For posts in regulated activity, the DBS check will include a barred list check. It is an offence to seek employment in regulated activity if you are on a barred list. Any convictions listed on a DBS check will be considered on a case-by-case basis. All information provided by applicants and the DBS will be treated in strictest confidence in accordance with the DBS's Code of Practice. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. Hours: 5 hours 50 minutes a week, term time only Grade: Band B, SCP 3-4, £24,796 - £25,185 (Actual Salary, £3,411 - £3,510 p.a.)
