Logistics Manager Alexander Steele is supporting a leading food manufacturing business in Buckinghamshire to appoint a Logistics Planning Manager. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and compliant movement of raw materials and finished goods through the supply chain, maintaining alignment with production schedules and customer demand. What’s on Offer: Paying up to £50,000 (D.O.E) 10% bonus 36 days holiday Private medical care/dental care 4% pension Monday – Friday (flexibility with hours) Responsibilities: Develop and implement logistics strategies that ensure efficient transportation, warehousing, and distribution of food products. Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with suppliers, warehouses, and transportation providers. Collaborate with production planning, procurement, and quality teams to ensure material availability and timely order fulfilment. Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and negotiate service contracts. Develop contingency plans for disruptions in the supply chain. Background Experience: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field preferred. 5 years of logistics or supply chain experience in food manufacturing or a similarly regulated industry. Strong understanding of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and logistics software (e.g., TMS, WMS). Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. Strong leadership and communication abilities.
