Job Title: CNC Machine Operator, Polisher & General Workshop Operative
Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our manufacturing team as a CNC Machine Operator, Polisher and General Workshop Operative. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys precision engineering, hands-on work, and is eager to develop a broad range of workshop skills. You will play a key part in producing high-quality wood-burning stoves and metal components, operating CNC machinery, polishing, and supporting general fabrication and finishing tasks.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up and operate CNC machines to produce components to precise specifications.
* Carry out polishing, finishing and surface preparation of metal parts to a high standard.
* Assist with general workshop tasks, including drilling, tapping, folding, shot blasting, and assembly work.
* Prepare and load components for robotic welding or finishing processes.
* Check and measure components to ensure accuracy and quality.
* Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment, following company procedures and safety guidelines.
Requirements & Skills
* CNC machine operation experience is desirable but not essential—full training will be provided.
* Previous experience in a metal fabrication, polishing, or manufacturing environment is an advantage.
* Ability to read and follow technical drawings or production instructions.
* Competence with hand tools and power tools (such as drills, grinders and sanders).
* Good attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
* Strong teamwork skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
* Awareness of health and safety best practices.
