Specification Sales Manager – Social Housing
Area: Hertfordshire, Berkshire Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire
The Role
This specification sales position is focused on securing and developing opportunities across the social housing and affordable housing sector.
* Drive specification sales activity within social housing providers and local authorities
* Target social housing frameworks and approved supplier lists with local authorities
* Work closely with builders merchants to ensure product pull-through on social housing projects
* Develop KBB specifications aligned to the needs of social housing and local authorities
* Manage framework agreements across social housing procurement structures
* Engage Regional Directors within national builders merchants and Plumbing & Heating Merchants including MKM, Jewson, City Plumbing, Plumbase and Travis Perkins
* Provide cost-effective KBB solutions tailored to social housing budgets
* Support builders merchants with specification sales strategy across local authorities
* Secure long-term KBB specification sales agreements within social housing developments
This role requires a commercially focused specification sales professional who understands how social housing frameworks operate and how local authorities procure through builders merchants.
The Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience in specification sales within social housing or affordable housing
* Strong track record of working with local authorities and housing associations
* Experience selling KBB or building materials products via builders merchants
* Clear understanding of how specification sales is driven within social housing frameworks
* Experience managing relationships at Regional Manager or Regional Director level within builders merchants
* Ability to influence decision makers across social housing, local authorities and merchant networks
* Commercial awareness of pricing structures required to win KBB projects within social housing

Up to £56,000 basic
£600 per month car allowance OR company vehicle (hybrid/electric available)
