Bookkeeper | Exciting Live Music & Festival Business | Edinburgh/Hybrid Harmonic are delighted to be working exclusively with a fast-growing live music and festival business to recruit a Bookkeeper. The business has grown rapidly in recent years, earning a reputation for delivering large-scale, high-impact events that bring world-class artists and unforgettable experiences to audiences. Rooted in Edinburgh but with a growing, international reach, they combine creativity, ambition, and a deep love of music to produce festivals and live shows to remember. The Role As Bookkeeper, you'll take full ownership of the company's day-to-day financial operations, ensuring everything from invoicing and payments to reconciliations and reporting runs smoothly. You'll manage ledgers, cashflow, and VAT, while keeping meticulous records to support accurate management accounts. A key part of the role will be monitoring and reconciling ticketing and event sales, providing clear reporting to highlight variances and ensure accuracy. Acting as the go-to point of contact for all finance queries, you'll work closely with Directors to provide the financial insight that underpins strategic and commercial decisions, while also rolling up your sleeves to support the wider team with ad hoc finance tasks as they arise. This role is based in Edinburgh and provides hybrid working, with 3-4 days in-office. Responsibilities Take full ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping and financial operations Manage purchase ledger and sales ledger, including raising invoices, processing supplier payments, and managing credit control Carry out bank reconciliations, monitor cashflow, and prepare weekly cashflow forecasts for Directors Monitor and reconcile event and ticketing sales against actuals, providing reporting on discrepancies and variances Prepare and submit VAT returns Maintain accurate accounting records and support preparation of management accounts Act as the key point of contact for finance queries from colleagues, suppliers, partners, and external stakeholders Support the Directors by providing financial data to support commercial and strategic decision making Ad hoc tasks to support the wider business What We Need to See (Essential) Previous experience using Xero accounting software Comfort working as a sole-charge bookkeeper A passion for music, entertainment, and live events What We'd Like to See (Bonus) Previous experience in a project-based or hospitality industry Package: Salary: £37,000-£43,000 (dependent on experience) Location: Edinburgh Hybrid: 3-4 days in-office, remainder from home Start Date: ASAP-1 month notice If this sounds like a role where you'd thrive, please get in touch with your CV at or give me a call on 0203 773 3530 Due to the high volume of applications, if you haven't heard from us within 5 working days, please assume your application has unfortunately not been successful on this occasion.
