Looking for a new challenge in General Medicine

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic Deputy Ward Manager to join our Nursing Team on Ward 22 SGH to cover a secondment post

The Ward consists of 27 beds

Main duties of the job

You will be motivated to and enthusiastic person who can lead by example through positive and visible leadership supporting the ward manager in providing high quality care, facilitating evidence based practice to maintain high standards of care.

Coordinating the ward for admission's and discharges by supporting early and safe discharge planning to support flow through the hospital.

The team work collaboratively as part of a multi disciplinary team to assess plan, implement care and review this you will need to be excellent at communicating with a wide range of staff.

Education and Qualifications

Essential criteria

1. •Level 1 Registered Nurse
2. •Diploma in nursing or evidence of recent relevant CPD at diploma level
3. •Evidence of post-registration development in the relevant specialty
4. •Teaching/facilitation qualification or experience
5. •Management qualification

Desirable criteria

6. •Degree

Occupational Experience

Essential criteria

7. •Minimum 4 years post registration experience
8. •Experience of managing a team or area within a ward/department
9. •leadership qualification
