The Role
Reporting to the Head of IT, the Software Developer will be responsible for applications development and supporting the full range of software development, as well as other related IT tasks as needed. The postholder will work closely with the IT Project and Business Analyst and Academic Systems Manager to manage all aspects of software development and delivery. Responsibilities include:
* Software Development
* Software Support
* Software Change Management
Skills and Qualifications
* Experience in software development, deploying new systems to replace obsolete software, including data visualisation optimization for analysis
* Proficiency in Microsoft SQL, C, ASP.NET, PHP, and Power Automate/BI
* Web design and data analysis skills (CSS/PHP/HTML/JavaScript/ASP.NET)
* Designing and implementing APIs for data exchange (XML/JSON)
* Knowledge of IT development standards, including documentation and change control
* Software support for existing and inherited systems
* Desirable: Knowledge of iSAMS, SSRS, and DAX
* Desirable: Knowledge of SharePoint and Office 365
* Desirable: Knowledge of systems integration
