GSL Education is collaborating with Special Needs and Mainstream schools in Exeter to recruit a Primary Teaching Assistant.
The role involves helping students become as independent as possible, encouraging their growth across all areas, and assisting with vital life skills. Responsibilities include supporting children with daily personal care needs such as changing, toileting, and dressing.
We are looking for:
Compassionate and patient Teaching Assistants for full-time, long-term positions. Candidates should have an adaptable approach, a good sense of humour, and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
Important: You must have a UK driving license and your own car. Business insurance will be required if successful at interview.
Requirements:
* Experience supporting children with SEND (professionally or personally)
* Strong interpersonal skills to connect with children and families
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting children with additional needs
* Collaborative approach working with teachers, parents, and professionals
* Availability to start ASAP on a full-time basis
