We are seeking a friendly, professional, and reliable Evening Host to be the first point of contact for our guests at Stoke Lodge Hotel.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service and smooth front-of-house operations; positioned between reception and the bar/lounge.
Job Responsibilities:
* Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival
* Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and waitlists
* Welcome and facilitate any late check-ins
* Provide accurate wait time estimates
* Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception, lobby and bar areas
* Serve drinks and assist with food orders
* Coordinate with servers and management to ensure smooth service flow
* Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate when necessary
* Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
* Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained at all times
* Implement and enforce health and safety regulations
* 'Close' the hotel
Skills / Qualifications:
* Previous host, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Friendly, outgoing personality with a positive attitude
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work independently
* Knowledge of food and beverage operations
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Reliable transportation and punctuality
