Job Description
As a Graduate Engineer, you’ll support the design and delivery of façade and structural engineering projects, working closely with experienced engineers and consultants. You’ll be involved in everything from early-stage concepts through to detailed design and site involvement.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to specialise in façade engineering while building a strong structural foundation.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Assisting in the production of design calculations and technical analysis
* Supporting façade and structural design across a variety of projects
* Preparing sketches, drawings, specifications, and reports
* Contributing to feasibility studies and design solutions
* Attending site visits, inspections, and project meetings
* Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal teams
* Supporting planning of site investigations
* Working to project deadlines, budgets, and quality standards
* Continuously developing your technical knowledge and engineering skills
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
* Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
* Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals
* Experience producing manual calculations
* Working knowledge of Eurocodes (British Standards / UK NA)
* Understanding of CDM Regulations and designer responsibilities
* Ability to design in materials such as steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Proactive, motivated, and eager to learn
* Ability to produce clear sketches and technical information
Desirable:
* Familiarity with design software and its limitations
* AutoCAD knowledge
