Job Purpose The job holder is responsible for the condition of plant and equipment and for carrying out the appropriate levels of maintenance service whilst ensuring the standards and procedures are adhered to. This is a ‘hands on’ role providing a key point of contact across production units to ensure activities are completed on time and to plan. Responsibilities: To carry out Mechanical and / or Electrical Maintenance to designed specification Proactive line support – set-up & operation with shift start liaison with team managers Collaborative investigation: Quality/Safety First response to break downs Asset care Breakdown and reliability analysis Contractor management Reliability CI Project support The completion of work records, reports and associated data to ensure effective channels of communication are maintained Assist in maintaining the fire protection systems and equipment Qualifications & Previous Experience: Time served Multi skilled NVQ Level 3 Required Experience in Food Manufacturing Environment Preferred but not essential Knowledge & Skill: Good communicator with literacy and numerical skills Comprehensive understanding of engineering principles and working practices Develop positive relationships with Managers and peers Analytical and problem-solving ability Ownership and responsibility for work standards IT literate Energetic, enthusiastic with a belief in team involvement Resilient and relishes a challenge Ability to work to deadlines and be able to prioritise Hands on approach with a willingness to learn new skills but to also develop others Ability to work unsupervised at times Good keen eye for detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Other skills Good communicator with literacy and numerical skills Comprehensive understanding of engineering principles and working practices Develop positive relationships with Managers and peers Analytical and problem-solving ability Ownership and responsibility for work standards IT literate Company Benefits: Competitive Holiday allowance Company pension Free tea & coffee for all staff Cycle to work scheme Staff recognition awards.
