Axon Moore are working closely with an ambitious business in the Accrington area that are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant for their growing team. With exciting plans moving forward, this is a great opportunity to join an enterprising business.
The role will be working closely with the Financial Controller to ensure a smooth accounting process. As such, this role is well-suited to a confident, adept and personable Accounts Assistant who is fast-learning and hard-working.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Aspects of sales and purchase ledger
Supplier statement reconciliations
Weekly bank reconciliations
Liaising with our sales team regarding overdue debtors and outstanding queries
Production and distribution of sales invoices
Fixed Assets & Prepayments
Posting daily cash and completing payment runs
Processing employee expense claims and processing credit cards
Matching and coding of purchase invoices
VAT returns and assisting with month end processes
General accounts administration and ad-hoc duties
Required Skills and Experience:
Previous experience working in a similar position
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
Adaptable and flexible
Positive can-do attitude with an enthusiastic approach
Strong organisational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Team player with ability to work independently
Clear, confident telephone manner
