Duties and Responsibilities
* Lead on-site planning and execution of the commissioning team.
* Support the Project Commissioning Lead in technical delivery and scope management.
* Develop project delivery strategies and planning for each Work Pack/System.
* Assist with setting system limit boundaries for work packs.
* Provide technical support for SCADA, control & protection, ESD, F&G, Telemetry, and UPS systems.
* Manage project documentation to meet client and company standards.
* Lead technical and quality aspects of the project.
* Perform commissioning testing on electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment.
* Validate control circuits, level, flow, temperature, pressure devices, and Fire & Gas systems.
* Interpret vendor documentation, drawings, schematics, and manuals.
* Analyze problems, make corrections, and facilitate system completion.
* Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and establish positive team relationships.
* Ensure safety, quality, and risk management adherence.
Function
The Lead Commissioning Engineer will undertake site surveys, lead toolbox talks, develop testing methodologies, and supervise system testing, including CFAT and SAT.
Qualifications and Experience
* Deep knowledge of EC&I and Automation preferred; broad understanding of civil, structural, mechanical, piping, and process disciplines.
* Familiarity with Gas Transmission and Distribution standards, especially for compressor stations.
* Understanding of British and European standards.
* Experience in electrical, instrumentation, and control fields.
* Supervisory experience with electrical/instrument technicians.
* Experience with Hub2 completions management system.
* Minimum of 5 years as a commissioning engineer in multi-discipline projects within the gas sector.
