The Company
An exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s most innovative and well-established privately owned electronics manufacturers.
The Role
You’ll be designing and supporting electronic products for a variety of major OEMs across sectors including Automotive, Clean Energy, Communications & Broadcasting, Consumer Electronics, Defence & Aerospace, Homeland Security, Medical, Scientific Research, and Space. With such a diverse client base, the scope of projects will be vast, challenging, and highly rewarding.
Working as part of a multi-disciplined engineering team — including Mechanical, Electronic, PCB, and Software Engineers — you’ll be involved in every stage of the product lifecycle, from customer discussions and quotation through to concept, design, and manufacture.
This role offers the flexibility to work remotely, with IT equipment provided. However, there will be a requirement to attend the company’s electronics lab in the Bedfordshire region when working on hardware or assisting with issues.
Key Responsibilities
We’re seeking an experienced Electronic Design Engineer who has a proven track record of designing products for manufacture. You’ll need to be comfortable working to deadlines and confident in communicating with customers in a clear and professional manner. While a grounding in embedded systems software is beneficial, this role will focus primarily on hardware design.
You should be highly motivated, self-managing, and have a structured, analytical approach, with the ability to follow existing design standards and practices.
