About the Role
Lead and develop a cost‑effective and customer‑focused operational team engaged in the daily delivery of all waste collection and street cleansing operations. Ensuring that the Service Waste is delivered in accordance with the Council’s waste strategy, in line with the Council’s values, beliefs, priorities, policies, procedures and objectives, and with regulatory compliance. Take a lead role in service planning and delivery of transformation and change projects affecting your service areas. The role is diverse with no one day the same.
About You
* Extensive experience in Waste Management operations, with an in‑depth knowledge of waste management legislation.
* Educated to Graduate level or equivalent.
* Ability to write in a versatile style, with factual accuracy and sensitivity.
* The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice.
* Flexible approach to work and a willingness to travel throughout the Borough.
