About the Role

As Financial Controller for Topgolf UK Venues & Franchises, you will be a hands-on finance leader at the center of day-to-day financial operations and reporting. This highly operational and execution-focused role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting the financial health of Topgolf UK Venues, International Franchise Partners, and Corporate Overheads.

You’ll partner closely with venue leadership, operations teams, FP&A, and the US head office to deliver robust reporting, support strategic decision-making, and ensure compliance with statutory and group reporting requirements. The ideal candidate combines technical accounting expertise with strong leadership, process improvement capabilities, and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Compliance

o Prepare reporting for all statutory financial reporting, tax, and compliance matters including statutory accounts, audits, corporation tax returns, VAT, and withholding tax requirements.
o Deliver robust, timely, and consistent financial reporting across all divisions of Topgolf Limited, including UK Venues, International Franchise Partners, and Corporate Overheads.
o Prepare monthly management accounts and ensure financial results are accurate, complete, and aligned with reporting standards.
o Support US GAAP reporting requirements in partnership with the US head office.

Month-End Close & Balance Sheet Management

o Prepare and post month-end journals for Operations and Corporate Overheads while reviewing and supporting the work of the broader finance team.
o Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
o Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial records and reporting processes.

Forecasting, Budgeting & Financial Planning

o Partner closely with the FP&A team to support the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment between actual results and forward-looking projections.
o Support capital expenditure reporting and forecasting in collaboration with operational stakeholders.
o Provide financial insights and analysis that support business performance and strategic decision-making.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

o Ensure financial processes and controls are properly documented and consistently maintained.
o Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and reporting accuracy, including the use of AI and automation tools.
o Support ad hoc projects and operational initiatives for both UK Operations and the US head office.

Leadership & Team Development

o Manage and develop members of the finance team through coaching, mentorship, and collaborative leadership.
o Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing team environment that supports continuous improvement and professional growth.
o Serve as a role model who embodies Topgolf’s values and culture.

What You Bring

o Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required; CPA, ACA, ACCA, or CMA preferred
o Proven experience in a financial leadership role such as Financial Controller or

Finance Manager
o Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and statutory reporting requirements
o Experience supporting multi-entity or international business operations preferred
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
o Excellent leadership and team management capabilities with experience coaching and developing teams
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and levels of the organization
o Advanced proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel
o Experience supporting process improvement initiatives, automation, and AI-enabled finance solutions preferred
o Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, operationally focused environment while managing multiple priorities
