What we need in a nutshell
We’re looking for a passionate and motivated Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join the management team at our welcoming country pub and kitchen in the heart of Tattershall.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong hospitality experience who thrives in a busy, customer-focused environment and enjoys leading by example on the floor.
As Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, you’ll support the day-to-day running of the pub and kitchen, helping to deliver outstanding food, drink, and service while maintaining high operational standards. You’ll work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to motivate the team, drive sales, and ensure every guest leaves with a great experience.
A can-do attitude, attention to detail and excellent people skills are essential. Being available to work evenings and weekends including bank holidays are also essential.
What you’ll be doing
Working as part of our team of Holiday Heroes, you will be supporting the Food & Beverage Manager and making sure that our guests experience the best possible time with us. This includes:
1. Leading, training, and motivating a team to deliver delight.
2. Overseeing the smooth running of the venue, the preparation for service, as well as overseeing service and supervising the after-service duties.
3. Working alongside the team in a fast paced, high-volume venue with a constant eye on delivering world class service.
4. Driving revenue through service and sales whilst having an eye on profitable growth, delivered with care and flair.
5. Controlling margin through careful stock management and stock reconciliation through weekly stocktakes.
6. Supporting and standing in for the Food and Beverage Manager
7. Delivering excellent customer service and handling guest feedback professionally
Skills, experience, and qualities you’ll need
We have high standards! We’ll train you up, but you must:
8. Have previous management experience in a Food & Beverage environment
9. Show evidence of your superb people management skills
10. Have an eye for detail, a head for business and a mindset for innovation
11. Have knowledge and experience of catering and its many challenges
12. Have energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
13. A natural leader with a hands-on attitude
14. Have organisational skills and able to work under pressure
Nice to have but not essential

15. Know your profit and loss from your balance sheet and be able to control costs and grow profit
16. Level 2 in Food safety
17. Personal licence
18. Experience of working in the holiday sector
