Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced loft fitter to join our dynamic team as self employed. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various loft conversations, including fabrication and assembly, and will be adept at using hand and power tools. This role requires a hands-on approach to construction projects, ensuring that all fittings are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Ideally you will have at least 5 years experience
You must:
Have access to your own van, with valid insurance, mot and tax
Have own tools
Full UK Driving licence
Right to work in the UK
Public liability insurance
Responsibilities
* Fabricate and assemble components according to specifications and drawings.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools for various fitting tasks, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed.
* Carry out carpentry and joinery work as required, contributing to the overall construction process.
* Assist with roofing projects, ensuring all materials are fitted securely and safely.
* Perform heavy lifting as necessary, maintaining physical fitness for demanding tasks.
* Engage in construction painting to finish fittings as per project requirements.
* Participate in masonry work when needed, contributing to structural integrity.
Experience
* Proven experience in fabrication and assembly within a construction or manufacturing environment is essential.
* Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, carpentry, joinery, roofing, heavy lifting techniques, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work is highly desirable.
* A strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in construction is required.
