Main Focus of the Role
This role is project based, working as part of a small team on a large complex scheme. We act as principal contractor for the majority of our projects and all of our activities are integrated under one profit centre and one project team - so in this role you would have exposure to our full breadth of activities throughout a single project lifecycle. Reporting directly to a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for:
* Maximising profit through managing and challenging the efficiency of the integrated in house delivery model
* Ensuring contractual and commercial risks and opportunities are identified and managed
* Working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor to develop a collaborative relationship with the client so that both parties meet their objectives, enhancing McGee’s reputation at all stages of the process.
* Working closely with the Project Manager and Senior Quantity Surveyor to ensure the correct administration of the contract and ensuring that all responsibilities are fulfilled.
About You
* Able to demonstrate a good track record and reputation, performing a similar role in a related sector.
* Knowledge and experience of administering either NEC/JCT or Bespoke forms of contract
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Able to provide commercially focused pragmatic solutions
* Structured and organised
* Ambitious to progress, grow and develop the role within an expanding business
* Ideally you will have exposure to the self-delivery model, however for the right candidate this is not essential
Qualifications
Degree qualified or equivalent
