Maintenance Technician (Electrical) Salary: £32,000 Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week Monday – Friday (Monday – Sunday when on Standby) We have an exciting opportunity for a maintenance technician to join our well established multi-functional maintenance team, to help us maintain two prestigious properties in the centre of Bath; The Thermae Bath Spa is Britain’s only natural thermal spa open for the general public to enjoy, and The Gainsborough Bath Spa, Bath’s newest 5 star luxury hotel with 99 guestrooms and its very own natural thermal pools with a spa village for treatments These sophisticated properties are technically advanced with an array of mechanical, electrical and ICA assets that require routine maintenance to ensure reliable operation and compliance. As a result, we are looking for a motivated individual who enjoys a challenge, takes pride in their work, is proactive in their approach, can provide technical solutions to problems, and is a team player. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out routine maintenance of both properties including the daily operation of the plant rooms and general repairs to front of house areas you will join a team of 7 technicians on site. The candidate would also be required attend to reactive work such as plant breakdowns, and be involved with planned works such as asset improvements/replacements. They will also be expected to join a standby rota (currently 1 week in 5) which covers both properties out of hours Monday to Sunday. You will be responsible for looking after contractors visiting both sites on a day to day basis ensuring they have been briefed on any works that may affect there work with the highest standard of health and safety we expect you to be alert and report any issue’s straight to your health and safety manager. The ideal candidate should: Be of an electrical based with skills and experience in basic PLC’s, Control wiring, Instrumentation, Motors, AC drives, Transformers, CHP’s, Battery systems and protection devices. Be a time served technician who holds relevant electrical qualifications to levels 3 and above. Have completed a 18th edition regulation and possibly electrical (C&G 2391,2392). Have experience in working on domestic, commercial and industrial systems. Have the aptitude, desire and motivation to learn new skills including practical and soft skills. Have experience in mechanical maintenance, including pipework and ducting repairs and alterations, valve replacement and adjustment, mechanical seal replacement, pump repair and servicing. Had experience with pool water treatments systems and chemical dosing. Have a good understanding of water treatment processes Have a good understanding of RAMS processes and procedures to comply with the requirements of legislation such as HASAWA and EAWR.
