Supporting the product design and systems engineering activities for new and legacy products, including product design and evaluation using systems engineering tools (e.g. MBSE, Pugh Matrices, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DFMEA)).Hands on development with energetic materials and munitions to support product design and development activityConducting and managing product and process design, development, test, manufacture and evaluation activities, ensuring safety remains the highest priority in the working practices of yourself and the teamConducting and managing trials in a safe and suitable manner, from planning through to trials execution and reporting conclusionsApplication of effective Engineering Governance throughout the product development lifecycle supporting design reviews from concept to disposalConfiguration and maintenance of Engineering Bills of Materials for productsSupport the generation of costed proposals for external customersCross functional stakeholder management and collaborative working to support project and proposal deliveryYour skills and experiences:Proven record of supporting engineering teams and projectsStrong Engineering skills: particularly the ability to identify issues, conduct technical analysis of causes and identify solutionsEngineers at all levels should possess an academic qualification in Engineering or other related STEM subjects as well as specific (either academic or professional) qualifications.It is desirable for engineers to become recognised as Incorporated or Chartered Engineers through an appropriate recognised professional institution. Engineers are encouraged, and will be supported, to achieve relevant accreditation.Desirable:Current valid UK Security Clearance to SC level or higherExperience of product design analysis techniques (Pugh, DFMEA, FTA)Knowledge of Artillery design and manufactureExperience and knowledge of manufacturing in a high hazard environmentA working knowledge of Systems Engineering, MBSE and Engineering designAbility to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levelsTPBN1_UKTJ
