An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time, permanent MHA administrator to join the Prestwich MHA team. The post-holder will be required to cover MHA offices within the Trust's footprint.
The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated, with administration experience and preferably knowledge of the MHA or a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities include receiving and scrutinising MHA documents, undertaking other MHA-related tasks, and supporting the implementation of the Mental Health Act (MHA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS). The role involves ensuring documentation compliance, coordinating transfers of detained patients, managing DoLS applications, organising tribunal hearings, and supporting MHA Hospital Managers in their statutory duties.
The post is within a busy team, requiring the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
Additional duties include liaising with MHA Commissioners, supporting inspection visits, and responding to recommendations. The successful candidate will also assist in designing and delivering training programs for MHA Hospital Managers.
