What is the job role?
Sitting within the Facilities Management department, Coventry City Council's Energy Management Team has established itself as one of the critical teams within the Council providing essential support services across all service sectors as the City continues to achieve its sustainability targets. We are looking for an experienced Energy Officer to undertake the day‑to‑day energy‑management activities for the Council’s utility accounts. This is a 2‑year fixed‑term contract.
Responsibilities
* Bill Validation & Payment
* Energy Data Management
* Utility / Supplier Management
* Managing and growing the service offering to external customers through the Energy Management SLA
* Supporting the wider Energy Management team as required
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in managing energy accounts across a varied portfolio of building types and utilities
* Ability to work independently in a frequently changing environment
* Clear understanding and experience of validating and reviewing utility accounts
* Demonstrable experience of forecasting utility budgets and reporting on spend performance
* Experience of using Energy Management software and handling large data sets
* Account and query management alongside developing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships
