Location: Buttershaw / Hybrid Working (1-2 days office a week - Bradford) Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday. We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Lead - Leakage to join the Water Service Delivery team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Water Service Delivery are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators. As our Data Lead you will identify, embed, and improve generation through the utilisation and analysis of data to enable the delivery of maintenance excellence. Supports the team and wider Leakage teams to embed a data driven & continuous Improvement culture in our DNA. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies and innovative methodologies, this role aims to optimize and automate reporting tasks, thereby driving significant improvements in operational efficiency and productivity. Where you fit in: As our Data Lead - Leakage you will Analyze performance data to identify trends, root causes of underperformance, and recommend actionable improvements across Leakage processes and systems. Translate complex data into clear, business-friendly insights, enabling informed decision-making and continuous process enhancement. Lead initiatives to improve policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance across the department. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address issues promptly and influence broader company processes and systems. Support and advise Leakage teams on data quality, process improvements, and innovative ways of working to boost operational efficiency. Champion a culture of high performance and safety, aligning individual contributions with team goals and Yorkshire Water's strategic vision. What skills & qualifications you will need: Proficient in data analysis, with experience interpreting large datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement. Skilled in Power BI and dashboard automation, with a strong understanding of visualizing data to support business decisions. Experienced in SAP job management and working with SDP data and Advantex protocols, supporting operational efficiency and data integrity. Strong understanding of Leakage operations, including smart metering, DMA performance, and acoustic logging, and how data-driven insights can support leakage reduction targets. Proven ability to deliver data-led process improvements, embedding change and influencing positive cultural and behavioural shifts. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels and across departments. Detail-oriented and strategic, capable of aligning individual contributions with broader business plans and identifying repeat service failures. Collaborative and relationship-focused, maintaining effective internal and external partnerships to support continuous improvement. You will also benefit from having: Experience of driving sustainable performance against challenging business targets. Previous experience in a commercially orientated and / or regulated environment. Previous experience gained within the water or wastewater sectors or within the broader utilities, process, or manufacturing industry sectors. Experience of change management. Previous work within a maintenance activity focused team. Experience of planning and scheduling work activities.
