Printcraft is part of Card Factory plc, a retailer with over 1000 stores nationwide. Printcraft manufactures the groups UK greetings cards, wrap and POS for stores. It is a forward-thinking business with the state of the art equipment operating a large site 24/7, we produce around ¼ billion items per annum.
The business is in an exciting phase of growth and investment to cement our success for the next number of years. It is a great time to join the company while we operate lithographic print and finishing equipment to supply high quality, volume products.
We are looking for a committed individual to operate various large sheet-finishing machines to include embossing and die cut machines to their optimum. This role is working on a continental shift pattern working 3 weeks out of 4. An excellent understanding of large sheet finishing of greeting cards along with a good eye for detail is advantageous.
Main Responsibilities
1. Operators are multi skilled to operate different machine and must be able to emboss and die cut
2. Operators need to have a practical approach and be confident at problem solving
3. Excellent team working skills with a good attitude
4. To be able to communicate at all levels
5. Good level and high standards of house-keeping and Health & Safety within the department
The Ideal Candidate
Ideally you will have:
6. Excellent Knowledge of greeting card finishing
7. Excellent practical and technical skills
8. Experience of operating large machinery
9. Must be able to work to tight deadlines
10. Manuel Handling
