Trainee Project Planner
Location: Bristol and Glasgow
The ideal candidate will have active SC Clearance or be eligible to undergo SC Clearance.
The Experis Academy offers an exciting opportunity for delivery-oriented individuals to be trained and upskilled as Project Planners in the clean energy, defence, and civil decommissioning sectors. Join our growing Academy division, where you will be trained and developed while representing Experis on leading engineering projects. We seek ambitious candidates with strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. If you are looking to reskill or develop your project planning skills, this role offers a challenging yet rewarding experience requiring excellent customer-facing and team-working skills.
You will support Project Planning activities within a delivery environment, collaborating with like-minded individuals to solve complex problems in the nuclear and infrastructure sectors.
As part of the programme, you will receive comprehensive training in project, programme, and portfolio management (P3M), including tools like Primavera and Excel, as well as soft skills such as negotiation, presentation, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution. The training involves scenario-based workshops for practical application.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
* Implementing and maintaining project structures
* Developing and maintaining the integrated project schedule
* Ensuring alignment between scheduling and financial/material demand tools
* Providing regular status updates and metrics analysis of the schedule's impact
* Creating resource/cost-loaded schedules to inform planning and financial status
